iraqAs sectarian violence in Iraq continues to escalates, U.S. forces are finding themselves caught between factions who have struggled against each other for more than a thousand years.

Sunni Muslims and Shiite Muslims are religiously incompatible and neither side wants to be dominated by the other. The terrorism seen daily on our television screens isn’t only directed at our forces, it’s clear that Sunnis and Shiites are also killing each other.

Hasn’t the time come when the United States should bid farewell to Iraq? Shouldn’t the Iraqi government we helped install be charged with dealing with this growing problem? Doesn’t the continued presence of U.S. forces invite charges that our nation is backing one or the other faction? Haven’t we suffered enough casualties in this latest undeclared and highly questionable war?

communist_chinaCommunist China’s $14.5 billion trade surplus during the month of June set a new record for single month. Exporting goods to the West, chiefly to the United States, has ballooned China’s enormous cash reserve, now topping Japan’s as the world’s largest holder of foreign currency. This makes China most able to finance U.S. indebtedness. This is not a good omen.

The Bush administration recently announced that the projected federal deficit for the current fiscal year will be just short of $300 billion, not as large as originally predicted. President Bush claims this as an accomplishment. The sad truth is that the federal government’s indebtedness during the five years of the Bush presidency has grown to $8.3 trillion from $5.6 trillion. Where does the money come from to finance these enormous short falls? One source is more currency produced by the Federal Reserve, the process known as inflation that steals the value of everyone’s dollars. But another way to cover a deficit is to borrow. And one of the chief lenders to our nation in recent years has been Communist China, a country that has never renounced its intention to defeat the United States.

It begins to look as though China will not have to do militarily what it is being positioned to do economically. What are our leaders doing to get America off this suicidal path? The answer is virtually nothing, except more unconstitutional spending.

Meanwhile our national and financial security is in jeopardy because of our relation with the enemy who has threatened our country with missiles. They already have control of both entrances to the Panama Canal and has made alliances with Cuba and socialist Venezuela, the most anti-US country in South America.

Sami Al-Arian is an Islamic Jihad professor who aided and abetted a terrorist group in the 1990s.Sword of Islam Originally exposed by The New American in 1998, long before the mainstream media covered the story, the guilty prof was finally handed a prison sentence that will be followed by deportation.

The history of the case is interesting. According to TNA writer Bill Jasper, Mr. Al-Arian, after being exposed by JBS, was still treated as a legitimate, peaceful Arab-American leader by George Bush, the Republicans, Democrats, and major media. “Bush even invited him to the White House,” said Jasper. “And we exposed him repeatedly long before Bill O’Reilly did.”

In October 1995, six months after the deadliest terrorist attack ever in America, a mild-mannered professor and director of an Islamic think tank in Tampa, Florida, left the United States to take a more exalted job in Syria — as maximum leader of Islamic Jihad, one of the world’s most violent and notorious terrorist groups. Are the two events — the Oklahoma City bombing and the departure of Ramadan Abdullah Shallah — connected?

There is good reason to think so. And there is good reason for believing that the bombing that took 168 lives in America’s heartland is also tied to the 1993 terrorist bombing of the World Trade Center that killed six and wounded over 1,000 in America’s financial, commercial, and communications capital — New York City. The mastermind of that conspiracy was Pakistani electronics engineer Ramzi Yousef, operating out of the Philippines with backing from Iraq.

Among the many other organizations under investigation by federal authorities as possible fronts for terrorist groups is the Islamic Committee for Palestine (ICP), run by Osama “Sami” Al-Arian, a USF computer science professor who, immigration officials charge, arranged visas for both Shallah and Nafi so that they could be hired under the guise of research associates and professors.

 WTC damage

Last night I heard on CNN' Situation Report, that 1/3 of all Americans polled still believe there was a conspiracy involved with 9/11. Both the Republican and Democrat strategist agree there was never a conspiracy. This is what the media wants us to believe.

I guess I am one of the many 1/3 Americans who believe there was some warning before the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. And the evidence shows….

Three veteran federal law enforcement agents confirmed to THE NEW AMERICAN that the information provided to Schippers was widely known within the Bureau before September 11th. Because these individuals face possible personal or professional retaliation, they agreed to speak with us on condition of anonymity. Two of them, however, have expressed a willingness to testify before Congress regarding the views they have shared with us.

"I don't buy the idea that we didn't know what was coming," a former FBI official with extensive counter-terrorism experience commented to THE NEW AMERICAN. "Within 24 hours [of the attack] the Bureau had about 20 people identified, and photos were sent out to the news media. Obviously this information was available in the files and somebody was sitting on it." This former FBI agent noted that before Zacarias Moussaoui, the so-called "Twentieth Hijacker," was detained in Minneapolis, he had undergone flight instruction in Oklahoma, "where we know that Arab terrorist networks have been established for many years."

An active federal counter-terrorism investigator told THE NEW AMERICAN that it was well known "all over the Bureau, how these [warnings] were ignored by Washington…. All indications are that this information came from some of [the Bureau's] most experienced guys, people who have devoted their lives to this kind of work. But their warnings were placed in a pile in someone's office in Washington…. In some cases, these field agents predicted, almost precisely, what happened on September 11th. So we were all holding our breath hoping that the situation would be remedied." (The New American Vol. 18 No. 05)

And…

"The FBI had advance indications of plans to hijack U.S. airliners and use them as weapons, but neither acted on them nor distributed the intelligence to local police agencies," reported Chicago Sun-Times columnist Robert Novak on September 27th. "From the moment of the September 11th attacks, high-ranking federal officials insisted that the terrorists' method of operation surprised them. Many stick to that story. Actually, elements of the hijacking plan were known to the FBI as early as 1995 and, if coupled with current information, might have uncovered the plot."

In fact, both the FBI and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had detailed information about the possible use of hijack/suicide attacks by terrorists connected to Osama bin Laden. "In 1994," reported the October 3rd New York Times, "two jetliners were hijacked by people who wanted to crash them into buildings, one of them by an Islamic militant group. And the 2000 edition of the FAA?s annual report on Criminal Acts Against Aviation, published this year, said that although Osama bin Laden is not known to have attacked civil aviation, he has both the motivation and the wherewithal to do so,? adding, Bin Laden's anti-Western and anti-American attitudes make him and his followers a significant threat to civil aviation, particularly to U.S. civil aviation." Moreover, the 1999 edition of the FAA document reported that a radical Islamic leader living in British exile warned in August 1998 that bin Laden "would bring down an airliner, or hijack an airliner to humiliate the United States." (The New American Vol. 17 No.23)

There is ample evidence to question the Us Government's stand of having no prior knowledge of the 9/11 attacks.

The veterans organization, the American Legion, is behind the push to stop taxpayers money going to the ACLU. Many of the ACLU's legal agenda includes fighting against monuments and other public displays that display any religious symbol.

No ACLU Stop the ACLUJoe March, director of public relations for the American Legion, said the legislation "would amend or revise the Civil Rights Act, in terms of eliminating the ability of judges to award attorney's fees, in cases where there is litigation brought against religious symbols in this country … and things such as the Boy Scouts and public seals."

"Not only are organizations like the ACLU and others taking action against our American values, our religious symbols, our heritage and veterans memorials, but then if they are successful in the process, then they are having the courts award them tax dollars in attorney's fees even though they are organizations that work pro bono," March told Cybercast News Service on Thursday.

The legal organizations defending citizens against the cases brought on by the ACLU never receive payment form taxpayers.

Some U.S. senators this week have heard testimony from both sides on a piece of legislation that would strip legal fees from church-state lawsuits. Such legal victories, often described as "Establishment Clause" cases, have provided the American Civil Liberties Union with millions of dollars in profits as it pursues numerous cases challenging public displays of religious belief in America.

The Public Expressions of Religion Act (PERA) (S. 3696) was the topic of discussion at hearings on Wednesday (August 2) before a Senate Judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Property Rights. The U.S. House is considering similar legislation (H.R. 2679) that is sponsored by Indiana Congressman John Hostettler. Brownback has made it clear in recent weeks that if groups like the ACLU want to sue city after city for displays of religious images, it should be on their own dime — not at taxpayers' expense. The biased mediaFrom the NewsBuster's blog:

Rachel Neuwirth writes in The American Thinker that the media have made the job of the terrorists much easier as the media provide the version of reality the terrorists hope to convey. The media never blame the terrorists who hide behind civilians who get killed, and Neuwirth writes that therefore the media are "directly complicit in enabling this tactic to continue and for more Lebanese civilians to be killed."

A major segment of the global media is behaving in a manner that makes terrorism and mass killings more likely rather than less likely. They enable and encourage terrorist slaughter of innocents by supplying providing a propaganda bonanza for the terrorist cause. Without the gain, there would be less incentive for the horrific behavior.

This is true now with Israeli defense measures against Hezbollah terrorism, and has been true for many years, especially during the long Arab-Israeli conflict. Not enough attention has been paid to media manipulation. It is long overdue that this be exposed and the media be confronted and held accountable.

When will the liberal media get it straight?

Fox News reports that our borders are easier to cross than you would think with all all the high terrorist alerts.

border crossingAt nine border crossings on the Mexico and Canadian borders, agents "never questioned the authenticity of the counterfeit documents," according to Government Accountability Office testimony to be released Wednesday.

"This vulnerability potentially allows terrorists or others involved in criminal activity to pass freely into the United States from Canada or Mexico with little or no chance of being detected," concluded the GAO, the investigative arm of Congress, in testimony obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press.

The findings, to be presented to the Senate Finance Committee, come as Congress considers delaying a 2007 deadline requiring passports or a small number of previously approved tamper-proof ID cards from all who enter the United States. (FoxNews.com)

Homeland Security responds that all their agents at the border are trained to identify counterfeit documents and that there is over 8,000 acceptable IDs they would slow the border crossings if they had to scrutinize every ID.

So the Department of Homeland Security would rather allow more border crossings and at the same time create a security risk.

The solution is easy. Secure our borders as they should be by placing the appropriate manpower needed. And now the time is better than ever to require passports or a small number of previously approved tamper-proof ID cards at our borders.

More information on the Qana tragedy that the Hezbollah concocted the tragedy comes from a  Lebanese website, Libanoscopie. Hezbollah insurgents are afraid they are losing favor within the Lebanon government and will try anything to prolong the conflict with Israel.

Lebanon…associated with Christian elements in the country and which openly supports the anti-Syrian movement called the "March 14 Forces," reported that Hezbollah has masterminded a plan that would result in the killing of innocents in the Qana village, in a bid to foil Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora's "Seven Points Plan", which calls for deployment of the Lebanese army in southern Lebanon and the disarming of Hezbollah.

"We have it from a credible source that Hezbollah, alarmed by Siniora's plan, has concocted an incident that would help thwart the negotiations. Knowing full well that Israel will not hesitate to bombard civilian targets, Hezbollah gunmen placed a rocket launcher on the roof in Qana and brought disabled children inside, in a bid to provoke a response by the Israeli Air Force. In this way, they were planning to take advantage of the death of innocents and curtail the negotiation initiative," the site stated. (ynetnews.com)

Hezbollah are truly terrorists who have no compassion for innocent civilian lives, especially children. I looks like they are wearing out their welcome in Lebanon.

The world, especially the Arab countries are condemning Israel for the attack on Qana in Lebanon that supposedly caused the death of 57 civilians. Many of them were children sleeping in the basement when the building collapsed.

But, the facts show the attacked occurred around midnight and the building did not collapse until eight hours later.

And why would the victims continue sleeping in the basement after the building was just attacked?

The attack on the structure in the Qana village took place between midnight and one in the morning. The gap between the timing of the collapse of the building and the time of the strike on it is unclear," Brigadier General Amir Eshel, Head of the Air Force Headquarters told journalists at the Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv, following the incidents at Qana.

Eshel and the head of the IDF's Operational Branch, Major General Gadi Eisnkot said the structure was not being attacked when it collapsed, at around 8:00 in the morning.

The IDF believes that Hezbollah explosives in the building were behind the explosion that caused the collapse. (ynet.com)

Besides, there is a strong possibility that Hezbollah are behind the actual building collapse. And there is some questions on the photos release by many of the news agencies on site. A post on EU Referendum shows many of the photos (beware they are quite graphic) and the same "rescue worker" is in all of them. Also, many of the bodies in the pictures may be the same body used in different poses and it looks like it has been dead for a long time judging by the ashen color.

Apparently, the Hezbollah may be using the shock value of the pictures of the dead to gain sympathy from the world.

It is noted in another post on EU Referendum, that the same rescue worker appears in other photos taken on 18 April 1996 in Qana after another attack in another war in.
