The latest legal attack and victory by atheist, Michael Newdow against the mention of God in our "Pledge of Allegiance" shows how our activist Federal Courts are leading our country down a dark path. Calling it a conflict of the so-called separation of church and state, has put God, our county and all Christians in a very perilous situation.
Personally, I do not believe there is such a violation. I recently did a search on how many times God is mention in our Federal U.S. Code. There are 69 instances and referrals to God. Also, all 50 States mention God or refer to Him in their Sate Constitutions.
There are many Legal Oaths where you will swear to God. Since George Washington, all of our Presidents swear to God with their right hand on a Bible when taking the Oath of Office.
In our courts of law (including our federal courts) all witness shall swear to tell the truth using a Bible, and most still end the oath with ‘so help me God.’"
All immigrants taking the Oath of Alliance when becoming U.S. citizens end the oath with so help me God .
All of our money has "In God We Trust" embedded on it.
